Island Akuru is a Multi Script Display Typeface developed to preserve and promote an endangered script, "Dhives Akuru" in Maldives, together with the current official script "Thaana". A modern display multi script caters to a younger audience and allows the forgotten script to be utilised on all platforms such a social media.
Website developed to allow easy download, learning and also knowing more about Island Akuru all in one platform, anywhere anytime.
Learning Cards were developed to aid people who would want to learn Dhives Akuru through an interactive hands on method by using flash cards. The deck includes a total of 30 Cards.
To cater to a younger audience merchandises implemented a vibrant yet modern designs that uses the letters, allowing the spread of awareness of the script.
Social Media Campaign aimed at reaching a wider target audience and create more engagement and awareness.
